How to Use - CUTTING BOARD
Before you start
Step 1. Oiling
To keep it from cracking as it dries out, put olive oil or rice bran oil on a paper towel and spread it thinly and evenly over the whole Sakura Cutting Board.
Step 2. Drying
Let it air-dry for one to two hours while the oil settles in.
Step 3. Wiping off
Wipe away any excess oil left on the Sakura Cutting Board with a paper towel.
Step 4. Rinsing
Rinse both faces with water and wipe off the moisture with a clean cloth.

After use
Step 1. Washing
Apply a little dish soap, wash with a sponge along the grain, then rinse thoroughly with water.
*Do not use salt, scouring powder or anything else abrasive.

Step 2. Wiping dry
After washing, wipe the whole of the Sakura Cutting Board thoroughly dry with a clean cloth.
Step 3. Drying
Stand it on edge along the direction of the grain in a well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight, and let it dry thoroughly.
* Please note:
Bleach and dishwashers can cause warping and cracking, so please avoid both.
When the surface of the Sakura Cutting Board starts to look dry, a thin coat of olive oil or rice bran oil over the whole board will keep it from cracking.
